MABLETON, Ga. -- A student skipping class phoned in a false report of a weapon in the building, forcing Lindley Middle School in Mableton to go into lockdown Friday morning.
The school building, at 50 Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton was placed on lockdown after the report.
Cobb County police said no students have been injured.
Cobb County School officials confirmed that no weapon had been found on the school campus.

The students are not being released at this point. Parents coming to the school are being directed to go to Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, 561 Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton.
