GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. -- A man was sentenced to 35 years in prison for charges from a December 2012 shooting of 23-year-old Brunswick man, who was shot in the face and lost his eyesight.
Ladarius Lawrence, 19, of Brunswick pleaded guilty Wednesday to aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
Ladarius was sentenced to a total of 35 years and will spend the first 18 years in prison and serve the rest on probation.
Two additional co-defendants were previously charged in the case. Lorenzo Lawrence, 21, and Randall Whipple, 23, both of Brunswick, pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
Lorenzo received 35 years on September 5 and will spend the first 13 in prison and the rest on probation. Whipple, 23, received 35 years and will spend the first 10 years in prison and the rest served on probation.
