Kittens rescued from burning R.V. in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Several kittens were rescued from a burning R.V. by firefighters Saturday morning. 

According to the St. Johns County Fire Rescue's Facebook page, the firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a recreational vehicle fire in the 4500 block of Ave. B and rescue the kittens inside. 

Firefighters from SJCFR's Central Battalion and the St. Augustine Fire Department arrived on the scene around 9:15 a.m to find the burning 25-foot long R.V.

The vehicle was destroyed but no people were harmed or displaced by the fire, according to authorities.

One dog and two cats died in the blaze, according to SJCFR. 

SJCFR fire investigator is looking into the cause of the fire.
