PONTE VEDRA, Fla. -- Due to a water main break, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued in Ponte Vedra Beach for an area serviced by the St. Johns County Utility Department.
The boil notice will impact an estimated 120 residences. Crews are in the process of repairing the lines.

Signs will be posted at the entrance of the subdivisions affected by the Boil Water Notice.
Under the Precautionary Boil Water Notice, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes should be boiled first. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used.
The Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until lab tests show that the water is safe to drink and a retraction notice is posted. This advisory can take up to two days.
