JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- Business owners are still mopping up after all the heavy rain Monday in Jacksonville Beach. Dick Boger owns Dick Boger Yacht Sales and said he's gotten pretty used to drying out.
"I have a system -- wet vac, squeegee, I just live with it", he said.
So much water had fallen in his lot, much of it had no place to go Tuesday. Boger said the deluge was partly to blame, but he pointed out the bridge, which ends near his shop, plays a role too.
"My office is the drainage," he said.
Boger's gotten so used to mopping up, he has a dehumidifier and shop vac on standby. The building he's in has taken a toll. Wood is rotting away and nails are rusted. Boger said it's also hurting business.
"If you drove to my business yesterday, you could have been knee deep in water. You couldn't even get out of your car", he said.
Despite the soggy setback, Boger said he's keeping a positive attitude.
"Just live with it and move on," he said. "Just go to the next storm."
