JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville man faces life in prison after he was convicted of second degree attempted murder Tuesday.
Maurice Javon Jackson, 22, faces up to life in prison as a 10/20/Life offender.
In March 2013, a male victim was visiting a friend at the Eureka Garden Apartment complex when he encountered Jackson.
The 22-year-old allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the arm. The victim recovered from his injuries.
Jackson was convicted for possession of a firearm by a juvenile used to commit a felony in 2011.
Jackson will be sentenced the week of October 14.
