PALATKA, Fla. - An alleged road rage incident lands one man in jail.
Charles Hugh Thomas, 50, is accused of becoming incensed that a truck driven by another man had not allowed his adult daughter to change lanes October 15, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Thomas allegedly got out of his daughters car and approached the driver of the truck at the intersection of Highway 17 and State Road 207. Thomas was knocked to the ground when the truck driver defended himself.
Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Putnam County Jail where he was booked on one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief.
Thomas has since been released on a bond of $1,508.
