ORLANDO, Fla. -- A JetBlue flight attendant caught smuggling heroin from Bogota, Colombia, to Orlando has been indicted on a charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin, the United States Attorney's Office announced Thursday.
Carla Michelle Alvarado, 33, of Kissimmee, was caught with heroin in a body suit when she arrived in Bogota on Sept. 28, agents said.
The intended recipient of the heroin, identified as Carlos Luis Alomar-Baello, 43, of Davenport, faces the same charge, officials said.
Agents searched his home and said they found more heroin there.
According to a federal affidavit, Alvarado was going to be paid $10,000 to transport the drugs.
