JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the Duval County Courthouse at 10:38 a.m. Monday when a woman collapsed in the lobby.
The unidentified woman, who is in her mid-fifties, collapsed after going through the metal detector.
JSO says it appears that the cause may be from a medical issue, possibly a stroke or heart attack, but homicide is investigating.
The woman was transported to Baptist and is in critical condition.
It is unknown at this time why the woman may have been going to the courthouse.
