JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- They have long beards, beautiful wives and make duck calls for a living.

The southern family profiled in the hit reality show Duck Dynasty has skyrocketed to stardom over the past few years.

One of the show's stars, Jessica Robertson, the wife of Jep Robertson, recently came to Jacksonville to meet fans at the Southern Women's Show. While in town, Roberston also shared her Thanksgiving traditions with First Coast News.

Robertson said it wasn't that long ago that she was a "stay-at-home mom," practicing real estate and sewing for local stores in West Monroe, Louisiana. But now life have changed.

"We get stopped pretty much everywhere we go," said Robertson.

Robertson says she still tries to live a normal life, especially for her four young children. "They do music classes. Our oldest plays soccer, so we still do normal everyday stuff. I take the kids to school every morning and pick them up in the afternoon. It's everyday Mom and Pop stuff."

Jessica and Jep Robertson married 12 years ago.

She said they always share the Thanksgiving meal with the Duck Dynasty clan and that includes eating turkey and duck as well as, "Phil's duckin' dressing." "He has the whole duck actually baked into the dressing so you get pieces of the duck and dressing on the side. It's really good."

Robertson always bakes her family favorite, "I usually do a banana liqueur cake."

Robertson said she has many things to be thankful for including her offbeat family and the success of the show. But she most thankful for her husband and kids.

"Most importantly if we lost everything, we'd have our four healthy kids and we have a happy home. Jep and I don't argue, so that to me is the most important thing is keeping your family intact. We're really blessed.

Robertson says Duck Dynasty also has a new CD coming out this holiday season with George Strait called "Duck the Halls."
