Woman charged with removing child from custody of State

PALATKA, Fla. -- The Palatka Police Department arrests a woman after allegedly taking a child from a relative without permission in violation of a court order.

The child was reported taken to the police Thursday at about 8 p.m. Officers attempted to locate 33-year-old Taneisha Bellamy throughout the evening, with no success.

On November 8 at about 9:55 a.m., PPD Officer David Lazo spotted Bellamy near the Vystar Credit Union located at 510 N. State Road 19.

In an attempt to stop Bellamy, she allegedly ran away. Other Officers responded and assisted with the arrest.

Bellamy is held at the Putnam County Jail on a $5,016 bond. She is charged with unlawfully removing a minor from the custody of the state in violation of court order, resisting an officer with violence and two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer.
