JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A North Carolina man suffered minor injuries when wind caused his vehicle to crash on the Dames Point Bridge Saturday.
Christopher Brook Beanland, 23, was driving northbound on I-295 over the bridge pulling a Uhaul trailer around 4 p.m.
A gust of wind pushed the trailer towards the left side of the road and caused Beanland to lose control of his Chevrolet Blazer.
The vehicle flipped on its side and slid into a utility pole before coming to rest against the bridge's concrete barrier.
Despite the dangerous crash location and the mangled wreckage, Beanland was able to walk away with minor injuries, according to FHP.
Beanland was wearing his seatbelt, according to FHP.
