JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Veterans Day parade in downtown Jacksonville has a new route this year.
The parade, which begins at 11:01 Monday morning, will begin at EverBank Field and make its way through downtown.
The route will continue down Bay Street to Newnan Street, follow to Independent Street and will end at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.
The parade will feature more than 4,000 participants including grand marshals, senior military officials, active-duty and retired military units, veterans groups, local high school marching bands, military organizations, decorative floats, giant balloons, and JROTC units, according to the City of Jacksonville.
