Myrtle Ave. home struck by gunfire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A home was struck by gunfire late Sunday night, no one inside was injured.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to reports of shots fired in the 2700 block of Myrtle Avenue around 11:40 p.m. Sunday, according to JSO Sgt. Chris Brown.

The home was occupied at the time of the shooting, however no one inside was injured.

At this point in JSO's investigation it is not clear whether the house on the Mid-Westside was targeted.

A suspect description is not available and it is not known at this point if the shooting is related to previous shootings in the area.
