BRYCEVILLE, Fla. -- A deadly, seven vehicle crash has closed a portion of US-301 in Nassau County.
The crash occurred on US-301 at Ford Road around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the crash involving two log trucks, two semi-trucks and three passenger cars at 11:15 a.m.
At least one person was killed and three others were injured according to FHP. The three injured were transported to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred when a flatbed semi-truck, filled with logs, heading north on US-301 rear ended another flatbed log truck. The person killed was in one the of the log trucks involved in the crash, FHP said.
According to FHP, the roadway will be closed until at least 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The Nassau County Sheriff's Office also responded to the crash.
