PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. - A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a van Thursday at about 6:00 p.m. in Putnam County.
The cyclist, 32-year-old Nathan Stuckey, was traveling south on County Road 309 with no lighting equipment or helmet, according to the Florida Highway Patrol press release. The driver of the Dodge Grand Caravan, 47-year-old Pamela Robertson, did not see the cyclist due to the dark roadway.
Stuckey died from his injuries at the scene and Robertson was not injured in the crash. According to FHP, speed was not a factor in the incident.
