JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - (UPDATED at 8:45 p.m.) A Jacksonville Sheriff's officer received minor injuries to his left arm after a crash Thursday night.
Around 6:08 p.m., an SUV traveling West on Beach Boulevard, near Suni Pines Boulevard stopped due to traffic and was rear-ended by a JSO cruiser.
The SUV had two elderly passengers whom were taken to a hospital as a precaution and seem to be doing OK at this time, according to JSO Sgt. D E. Williams. The officer received minor injuries, but was not taken to a hospital.
The Traffic Homicide Unit responded to investigate the cause of the crash per JSO policy.
