ST. JOHNS, Fla. -- Two people are in critical condition and another is in serious condition after a three vehicle crash in St. Johns County Saturday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on U.S. Highway 1 and Island Landing Drive around 10:30 p.m.
St. Augustine resident Sage D. Stinson, 18, was attempting to cross northbound traffic on U.S. to head southbound, according to an FHP report.
When Stinson pulled out she was hit by Natalie N. Ridenour, 22, who was driving in a Chrysler 300. Ridenour's car spun out after the crash and struck a third car driven by Amber N. Benuck, 26, according to FHP.
Stinson and Ridenour were taken to UF Health in critical condition. Ridenour, a Jacksonville resident, was taken to Flagler Hospital in serious condition.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and Stinson was the only driver not wearing a seat belt, according to FHP.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
