JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 21-year-old Jacksonville man has been sentenced to five years in prison for possessing a firearm while selling marijuana.
Jairus Quaintance pleaded guilty to the charge on August 28, 2013.
Quaintance was selling marijuana on a street corner north of downtown Jacksonville when a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office policeman contacted him, according to a Department of Justice press release. The officer found a loaded 9mm pistol and marijuana packaged for sale in his possession.
