(UPDATED: 1/10/14 at 3:30 p.m.) The emergency boil water notice for the town of Hilliard has been lifted as of 3:30 p.m. January 10. The water is now safe to drink after completion of a satisfactory bacteriological survey.
HILLIARD, Fla. - A boil water notice has been issued Wednesday night for Hilliard. The issue has been placed into effect due to a water main break that occurred around 4:15 p.m.
The Town of Hilliard advises people to boil water for one minute or use bottled water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
The notice will remain into effect until a Bacteriological Survey has been completed, according to a Town of Hilliard release. Anyone who has questions is asked to call 904-845-3555 or 904-813-3314.
