JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The arrival of the Carnival cruise ship Fascination to the Jacksonville Port Authority was delayed until 10 a.m. today following a technical problem on the ship Wednesday.
Passengers began boarding the ship at 2:30 this afternoon.
On Wednesday, the Carnival Fascination lost power for several hours on the last leg of a five-day cruise that left Jacksonville Saturday.
A marine surveyor inspected the ship at 5 a.m. today before the U.S. Coast Guard cleared it for entry into JaxPort. The Fascination also had to wait for tidal conditions to improve.
The ship arrived in Jacksonville around 10 a.m., roughly three hours behind schedule.
Guests on this voyage received a 20 percent discount on a future cruise and an apology.
