JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Department of Transportation announced a lane closure that will close all northbound lanes of Interstate 295 east between Philips Highway (U.S. 1) and Baymeadows Road.
The lane closure is scheduled to occur Monday night, November 12, from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. The closure is to allow crews to install a sign structure foundation.
FDOT said before they close all northbound lanes, a single lane closure will occur in both the northbound and southbound lanes beginning at 8 p.m.
If you are headed northbound on I-295 east from the I-95 interchange, you will have to exit at Philips Highway and travel north to Southside Boulevard, then east on Baymeadows Road before you are able to return to I-295 east.
FDOT said southbound traffic will not be impacted.
Construction of the new State Road 9B from I-295 east traveling south to U.S. 1 is scheduled to be finished in Spring 2013.
