JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on Baymeadows Road eastbound at Interstate 295.
The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report from Florida Highway Patrol, an unknown vehicle was traveling in the right, southbound lane on Interstate 295. The vehicle came into the left lane where a red 2005 Jeep Liberty was also traveling southbound. The driver of the Jeep, 31-year-old Joshua Tungett, was forced into the guardrail on the left side of the road and overturned. Tungett's Jeep continued to roll down a grass embankment and finally came to a stop on Baymeadows Road under the interstate.
Tungett and his passenger, Leonid Suris, 25, were transported to Orange Park Medical Center by Jacksonville Fire Rescue with minor injuries.
The driver of the unknown vehicle continued southbound on Interstate 295 without stopping.
