Dump truck collides with Glynn County school bus

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. -- The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash in which a school bus was rear-ended by a dump truck.

The accident took place at approximately 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Old Jesup Road and Cypress Mill Road.

There were 38 students from Glyndale Elementary on board. Twenty students exited the bus at the scene. One of these students was transported by emergency vehicle to the hospital at their parents' request, Glynn County Spokesman Jim Weidhaas said.

The bus then transported 18 students to Southeast Georgia Health System for evaluation. No major injuries were reported at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
