Well, according to a new report from the Georgetown Center on Education, here are some jobs or career paths you might want to advise your child to avoid.
Architecture has a high unemployment rate, mainly because of the collapse of the construction and home building industry.
Unemployment is also high for those in non-technical majors like the arts, social science and public policy. But, if your child wants to be an engineer gets some good internships, he or she is golden.
Okay, here's a sample of the jobs that are out there right now in the Jacksonville area.
Aerotek has four positions, from fiberglass finisher to CNC Router Operator. Fed Ex has two jobs: project tech. special engineer and sr. tech specialist.
I-Tech Personnel has seven jobs listed at its staffing services company for work at JTA. Jobs like public information officer, inspector, buyer, industrial engineer and aircraft assembler.

And, if you are looking for a nursing job, River Garden is looking for a RN house supervisor, CNAs, LPN's and RNs, according to jobnewsjax.
